Anderson Chess Tournament
ANDERSON CHESS TOURNAMENT
Sunday, December 3rd
Please join us for our first chess tournament of the school year!
SECTIONS
4 rounds, except Reserve and Open 3 rounds
*Rookies: Unrated for Pre-K & K (perfect for beginners)
*Novice: 1st-5th Grade Unrated (no clock)
*K-1: Rated (G/25 5 sec delay) (Must be below 700 rating)
*Primary: K-3 U700 (G/25 5 sec delay)
*Junior: K-8 U1000 (G/25 5 sec delay)
*Reserve: K-12 U1300 (G/55 5 sec delay)
*Open: K-12 [Minimum of 1300 rating required] (G/55 5 sec delay)
ENTRY FEE
*$50 early online registration until 10/15.
*$60 regular online registration.
*Maximum 200 participants. Registration will close early if necessary.
*No on-site registration.
TROPHIES
Will be given based on registration for each section. Team trophies will be available to the top team in each section. The top 3 team scores count.
Cash prizes for open section.
ROUND TIMES
*Open, Reserve: 9:30am, 12pm, 2:15pm
*Primary, Juniors: 9:45am, 11:15am, 12:45pm, 2pm
*K-1, Novice, Rookies: 10am start time. Following rounds will begin shortly after previous one ends.
(If all players have finished early we will try and start the next round earlier)

All chess pieces, boards, scoresheets & pencils will be provided. Please bring a chess clock if you have one. If neither player has a clock, one will be used for the end of game at the tournament directors discretion. There are currently NO COVID requirements in place for players.
