Tri-State Chess Championship
@The New Tri-State Learning Center
TRI-STATE CHESS IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE OPENING OF OUR NEW LEARNING CENTER ON NEW YORK’S UPPER EAST SIDE!
The center will offer monthly chess tournaments, after school programs Monday through Thursday, as well as 11 weeks of summer chess camp in addition to 2 weeks of holiday camps.
Our first Championship chess tournament at our new location will be played in less than 4 weeks at our new location at 351 E. 74th Street, between 1st and 2nd Ave at the Church of the Epiphany.
The tournaments at the Learning Center will be modeled after our very popular outdoor tournaments at Bryant Park which have typically been drawing an average of 250 players.
The Learning Center tournaments will be 4 rounds and offer hundereds of trophy prizes just like we do in Bryant Park. And the U1800 section which is open to adults will also have CASH prizes with 60% of the entry fees returned as prizes for that section!
In addition, while we have a huge playing hall to accommodate all of our players, there will also be games played outdoors (just like at Bryant Park) as we have use of a beautiful rooftop terrace where an additional 100 players can play during the months with better weather!
As always, over 200 trophies, medals and prizes will be awarded. And everybody goes home with at least a chess medal with the name and date of the tournament engraved on the back.
The higher sections will have longer time controls. And the U1800 section will be only 3 rounds due to the lengthy time control of G/55; d/5

Tri-State Chess Championship
@The New Tri-State Learning Center
