2023 Women’s World Chess Champion

The FIDE Women’s World Championship Match is currently underway in China. At the end of the first half in Shanghai, Challenger Lei Tingjie leads defending Champion Ju Wenjun by a score of 4 – 4. Play will resume on July 17 in Chongqing. The match is scheduled for 12 games, with 6½ points required for victory.
